EVENTS

Being a parent isn’t easy at the best of times – and these are definitely not the best of times. It was hard enough trying to keep kids happy and healthy before COVID-19, but with the recent school closures, working remotely, physical distancing, and financial uncertainty – it’s a lot to navigate for anyone, but especially for parents.

So whether you are a brand new parent, been a parent for years already, or you’ve just become a grandparent we invite you to join us in person or online this Saturday morning at 11:30am as Pastor Dave unpacks “5 Principles for Positive Parenting During a Pandemic” that will help your family experience peace amidst the chaos.

Fall Party

Bring the whole family for our socially distanced Fall Family Feud! Enjoy a night of friendly competition, pizza, trivia and races!
Each table will compete against other tables, food will be served in a COVID safe manner, and each child gets to take home a goody bag. Price is $6/person to cover the cost of pizza and goodie bags.

Ron & Peggy Bergen

Ron and Peggy have helped and blessed so many single moms and families who have been in dire need of a working car. After hitting their donation milestone of 75 vehicles they both have decided to retire from being the “Cars for Moms” coordinators. We just want to say a huge “thank you” to both Ron and Peggy for their amazing dedication, hard work, and big hearts! We will be continuing to pray for what God has in store for them in their next chapter!

CIV Small Groups

As we look to reopen Church in the Valley, we want to reboot, restore, and deepen our relationships. Small groups are an essential part of forming deep relationships with others to help navigate life, faith, and our new normal together. We would like to encourage you to invite
those within your social bubbles to watch, discuss, and think about our online service together this week.

If you feel inspired to host, facilitate, or be a part of a small group, please watch for further details next week about how you can be part of an information session.

You may have reservations about the personal benefits of participating in a Small Group. Building new relationships, learning to share personal experiences and struggles and reaching out to others may cause feelings of apprehension. Whether you have had bad or good experiences your Pastoral staff and elders would love you to share your concerns and suggestions to build a strong Small Group community. The information you provide will assist us in the training we are developing. Rewarding relationships always take dedication and commitment. It’s time to transform our relationships with God and each other, and we want to do it together. Let’s build a stronger CIV community together!
AOK Volunteers Needed

Your time, cheer, and presence are precious gifts – and we invite you to partner with AOK to share these gifts with our community! We are looking for a few good men and women to volunteer as organizers, packers, and deliverers. Experience is not required! We will have a volunteers’ orientation on Thursday, December 17 to share all details.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please email Pastor Anderline at Anderline@actsofkindness.ca
