Church in the Valley is hosting a day of worship training on Saturday October 27 from 9am to 5pm. If you are looking to further your understanding of worship and develop your skills as a worship team member then we invite you to come out. Join us as we worship together, dive deeper into the meaning of what it means to worship and hone our skills in breakout sessions with local professional musicians. Cost is $5 per person (Includes light breakfast and lunch).
WORKSHOP OPTIONS
Lead Guitar – David Olson
 
Learn the fundamentals of playing electric guitar in a worship band context, how to combine theory with intuition, and learn an overview of appropriate gear to use.
Drums – Vince Synder 
 
Learn how to play drums well within a worship band context, learn how to be an overall foundation that the praise team can build upon.

Learn the fundamentals of playing bass guitar in a worship band context.

Learn the basics of chording, how to fit into the mix of a band as a keys player, and how sometimes less is more.

This practical workshop will offer singing and performance techniques to enable worship leaders to function with confidence and strength.
Choosing a setlist – Ron Maitland & Jenna Robinson
 
How do we choose which worship songs to sing? In what order? And why? This session will equip you with the mindset and practical tools you can use to craft environments where people can consistently experience life-changing encounters with God.
